There have been/are some noted bugs of "armor holes", where even though the armor says it has a certain thickness, MG's pass right through. Your biggest necessity is either going to be (1) A hiding spot near your spawn as your team is getting overrun, or (2) a vehicle equally as fast as an MBT, and use sneaky hiding spots.
If using AP it's a little more tricky (Need a clean side shot, rear chot in many cases) but is still doable. A lot of big caliber HE has 40+mm penetration, meaning that if you can detonate it under the belly of a tank, or very low on their gun mantlet, it's going to detonate and go up through the floorplate of the tank, or detonate and go down through the roof. If the ammunition pens X amount, and modern vehicle has Y armor, and X>Y, then that ammunition is capable of destroying whatever tank it is. so its valid to say WW2 era armor can destroy modern area armor Originally posted by Katokevin:They do have heavy armor, it's just that almost all of it is concentrated on the areas most likely to be hit, like the front turret and parts of the hull.
